ParaQuad Tasmania is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information which the organisation collects, holds and administers.

The organisation has adopted the following guidelines in relation to the collection and handling of personal information:

• ParaQuad Tasmania is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information it collects, holds and administers
• ParaQuad Tasmania is committed to compliance with all applicable laws and privacy principles
• The information must be collected for a lawful purpose. It must also be directly related to ParaQuad Tasmania activities and necessary for that purpose
• The information will be collected directly from the individual unless otherwise consented. Parents and guardians may give consent to minors
• The person must be informed that the information is being collected, why it is being collected and who will be storing and using it. ParaQuad Tasmania will also inform on how the
  information can be seen and corrected
• ParaQuad Tasmania will ensure that the information is relevant, accurate, up-to-date, and not excessive. The information will not unreasonably intrude into personal affairs
• Determine, where unsolicited personal information is received, whether the personal information could have been collected in the usual way. If it could have, it will be treated normally. If the information could not have been obtained in the usual way, it must be destroyed or de-identified as soon as practicable and that individual, whose personal information has been destroyed, will be notified about the receipt by ParaQuad Tasmania and the destruction of their personal information.
